Unfortunately we still have children that are sick...I thought we were in the clear after Miss Morgan's 6 day bug, but no...now colds have hit the Meyer household. Maddie, Morgan AND Isabelle all have this cold that involves runny noses and wet coughs, and thankfully no fever. Madeline and Morgan seem to be pulling through and fighting off the sickness once again, but IzzyB remains snotty as ever, and can't seem to shake this nasty cough. Madeline, Morgan and I still made it out today for the Meyer cousin Easter egg coloring get together. It was so much fun. We picked up Grandma Linda before heading to Wendy's house (Corbett's cousin). It was my first experience in this annual event, and hope that it continues. We arrived with 3 dozen eggs in tow, 3 boxes of coloring equipment which we really only needed 1 of, and 2 very excited girls ready to partake.
All ready to go, not to a Gopher game, but to the annual Easter egg coloring
Here's our supplies
Miss Morgan is not trying to get the eggs down to get started, but eyes the cookies sitting on the counter
This looks serious! How many eggs are we coloring?
And the first egg is colored by Madeline
Morgan and grandma trying to figure out which color to use first
Morgan's first egg is colored
Havin fun
Madeline's busy putting stickers on her eggs
Morgan found the "chips"
On to the next project, provided by aunt Carol, planting grasses
Hanging out after all that hard work
After the egg coloring we went to grandma and grandpa's house. The girls made a trip to Bachmann's with them to see the farm babies, and then out to the MOA while mom enjoyed some much needed time at the spa getting her toes looking pretty for her trip in 2 weeks to Mexico.
I wish this picture turned out clearer, it's Morgan's 1st set of ponytails! She's ready to go...
Maddie is too with her coloring book in her bag...like she'll need that on this venture.
It was a fun day, but wish dad and IzzyB were with us to enjoy it. Tomorrow we plan to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny, so stay tuned for an update on that event. We can't wait!
